23.

January 30, 2011

23. I celebrated my 23rd Birthday this weekend, and what they say is true. It feels like the years are speeding up on me. The last I looked over my shoulder, I was turning 18 and anxious for the world ahead. Now, with age comes hindsight. As with every age year I complete, I am thankful for life experiences yet ready for what is ahead. I enter a new year, I would like to remind myself of how grateful I am for life:

1. I am grateful for complete health
2. I am grateful for the diversity of experience
3. I am grateful for choice
4. I am grateful for my new watch 🙂
5. I am grateful for the most amazing yummy Japanese dinner I had this weekend. Must go back.
6. I am grateful for my #naturalhair. Never thought I’d love it this much, but I can’t imagine not being natural.
7. I am grateful for my own space. A bed to call my own, a tub I can use whenever I please, speakers I can turn up as loud as I want
8. I am grateful for my running shoes which take me farther than my mental mind can go
9. I am grateful for cupcakes
10. I am grateful for having the most amazing friends- all of which who speak their minds as they please
11. I am grateful for world citizens who stand firm and protest what they disagree with
12. I am grateful for access
13. I am grateful for sleep
14. I am grateful for heat/gas
15. I am grateful for handwritten birthday cards and letters I receive in the mail
16. I am grateful for my wonderful family. Sisters, aunts, grandparents, cousins. They all mean the world to me
17. I am grateful for home cooked meals, especially when I am not the one at the stove
18. I am grateful for the ability to connect with many different people via el Internet
19. I am grateful for music I feel deep down in my bones
20. I am grateful for my candles
21. I am grateful for my passions
22. I am grateful for Ruby Woo

HAPPY BELATED, CHICA! Your list is truly inspiring, and if we meet up in March…u must teach me the art of Ruby Woo. I’m so late to the game, lol.

Aww THANK YOU! I’m crossing my fingers that your trip comes through! My younger sister (sad I know) put me up on Ruby Woo over the Holidays, and I had to snag me one as a birthday treat to myself. All I can say is love!
