    Hey my Natural Sista!! I was online looking for running programs in my area and saw your post of the BlackGirlsRun site…and wanted to know if you found any groups that you could share with me? I live in Evanston and am very new to running, and would love to have the support of running with other women, preferrably black women. So if you know something please pass the info along to me or maybe we can start one! Thanks! I look forward to your reply…be blessed…

      hey! i don’t know how else to respond to you other than here so hopefully you’ll see this message. I haven’t found any running groups, but the truth is i haven’t really looked lol. i just started running on my own last spring. then over the summer a few other ladies from my church and i would run 2x a week together on the lake. it was soo nice to have company, but as the weather has gotten cooler, we stopped. the only advice I can give you in terms of running groups is to perhaps get together with people you already know who run. if not, shoot me an email! i’d definitely be interested in running with others!
